AICP – 2016 Reel – Dir Cut. by Method Design

Method Design was tapped by production company RSA to concept and create this year’s AICP sponsor reel. The AICP awards celebrate global creativity within commercial production. Method Design wanted to create an entertaining piece of design that encapsulates the innovative and prolific nature of this industry. Our aim was to showcase the AICP sponsors as various dancing avatars which playfully reference the visual effects used throughout production. Motion capture, procedural animation and dynamic simulations combine to create a milieu of iconic pop dance moves that become an explosion of colorful fur, feathers, particles and more.

Seed Matters by Buck

The fact that today, most seeds that grow our food are bred by agrochemical companies to be chemically dependent is totally @#$%’d up. To try and shed some light on an alternative method of growing our food stuffs, we partnered with our new friends The Butler Bros and the Clif Bar Family Foundation to create Mr. Seed, a foul mouthed, organic seed evangelist that is equal parts cute and dirty. Please visit www.seedmatters.org for more info.

The Lion City II – Majulah by Keith Loutit

Majulah – ‘Onward’.

When we pass by landscapes they appear fixed in time, but they change around us constantly. The idea behind this film to reveal this change by returning to the same camera positions over the years.

Special thanks to Michael for the amazing soundtrack, and for keeping me motivated over the past few years of shooting.
