‚The Big Cloth‘ is a short documentary about the Harris Tweed industry on the Island of Harris and Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. The film gives an insight into the island and the different characters who make this beautiful cloth. With over 170 freelance weavers on the island who weave this famous tweed from their own homes, it is the only cloth to have its own act of parliament protecting the industry.
Tangle is chaos. The film documents Trash Talk while on a week long tour throughout Japan. Utter sleep deprivation, culture shock and excessive drugs. We snaked through the streets, down flights of stairs and into the underground hardcore shows of Japan. Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Enoshima blended together into one incoherent night. In these dark rooms, the polite and calm surface of Japan is ripped away. It is a study of these two worlds meetings. The jumping back and forth between the light and the dark show how these contrasting forces are actually interdependent.

We traveled three weeks through the northern Himalayas of India, from Himachal Pradesh to Kashmir. It was a journey from valleys to peaks up to 5000m. We experienced a massive amount of different cultures, three major religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, met incredible people, saw never seen before nature and walked right next to the wildest animals. It´s nearly impossible to recreate this experience and our feelings and to compress it to just 3 minutes. So I tried to express the spirit of our journey. What we felt more than anything else, is to be alive.

It’s been a rough month y’all.
Not to be dramatic and shit, but there’s a flood of noise right now that feels like it might drown us all. And it’s harder and harder to tell what’s fact, what’s opinion, and what’s just straight up bullshit.
We’re not able to make sense of it, much less tell you how to make sense of it. Thank God there’s music for that. We’ve been working on a new record with your boy Michael Diamond for awhile, but we made a quick stop in Alaska with filmmaker Michael Ragen to shoot this video. Seemed like the right time to show it to you.
