In this image Galaxy 1068 is shown in visible light and X-rays in this composite image. High-energy X-rays captured by NASA’s Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array, or NuSTAR, are overlaid on visible-light images from both NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope and the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. The X-ray light is coming from an active supermassive black hole, also known as a quasar, in the center of the galaxy. This supermassive black hole has been extensively studied due to its relatively close proximity to our galaxy. NGC 1068 is about 47 million light-years away in the constellation Cetus.
The supermassive black hole is also one of the most obscured known, blanketed by thick clouds of gas and dust. NuSTAR’s high-energy X-ray view is the first to penetrate the walls of this black hole’s hidden lair.

I love my oracle ring! 🌙🌙I finally got my gift in the mail, totally worth the wait (the wrapping was so beautiful and the ring box was wrapped elegantly very high quality). It’s my favorite ring 💍I’ve ever owned hands down! ✨I’ve been wearing it everyday since I’ve received it (whether it matches my outfit or not lol👗👠👒) and everyone’s been asking me about it.
This ring is called „The Oracle“ style is oxidized brass with opalalite moon crystal jewel. I wear 5 1/2, (they do not offer half sizes), so I ordered a 6 and I REALLY wish I would have ordered 5 in retrospect because it’s really big on me. I have wear a clear plastic filler clasp (I got from hobby lobby), it clasps to the bottom side of the ring so it fits more snugly. It’s kind of annoying but it keep it from flipping downward or side to side. It does the trick and like I said, it’s my favorite ring it’s so cool ❤️💃🏻❤️💕💕💕 #omniastudios #omniaoddities #theoracle #galaxy #lunareclipse #bloodmoon #bloodmooneclipse #space #spacegirl #nasa #stars #spacebabe #jewelry #trendyjewelry #heaven #outerspace #luna #sailormoon #thefinalfrontier #universe #crystalball #moonstone #stone #chiroptera #handmade #handmadejewelry #handmadewithlove by rebecca_church

Herbig-Haro 24

„Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.“
.
This might look like a double-bladed lightsaber, but these two cosmic jets actually beam outward from a newborn star in a galaxy near you. Constructed from Hubble Space Telescope image data, the stunning scene spans about half a light-year across Herbig-Haro 24 (HH 24), some 1,300 light-years or 400 parsecs away in the stellar nurseries of the Orion B molecular cloud complex. Hidden from direct view, HH 24’s central protostar is surrounded by cold dust and gas flattened into a rotating accretion disk. As material from the disk falls toward the young stellar object it heats up.

Bom dia! #starwars #nasa #vialáctea #starwarsdespertardaforça #starwarstheforceawakens #milkyway #sabredeluz #lightsaber by gleissebio
