Three Brothers by Aleem Khan

Three Brothers is a short allegorical drama about dealing with grief and responsibility for the first time.
Inspired by true events, we follow fifteen year old Hamid as he struggles to care for his younger brothers after their father abandons them and returns to his native Pakistan. His only solace are his pet chickens and the three eggs he lovely incubates.

Three Brothers was shot in the Medway Towns in Kent with street-casted non-professional actors.

The film was supported by the BFI and commissioned through Film London on the London Calling Plus Scheme. Three Brothers premiered at The London Film Festival before going on to play on the international festival circuit and picking up a BAFTA nomination for Best Short Film in 2015.
