For the last four months I have been on one hell of a ride, working as a co-op in the Flight Dynamics division supporting the place I have called home: EVGNC – Exploration Vehicle Guidance, Navigation & Control. They are the people working to ensure our next generation space vehicle, Orion, is provided with a robust and responsive guidance system that will carry her on her inaugural voyage of EM-1 in 2018. I’ve been lucky to work here, and have worked on some awesome challenges, alongside awesome people who brought out the best in me. I have grown immeasurably: taught myself new concepts and worked hard to ensure my work was where it needed to be. I have seen how I’d like to grow, the challenges and responsibilities I hope to assume, and the hustle I will demonstrate to make that happen. It has been nothing short of awesome, and one I will always remind myself to live up to and continually surpass with each new experience. The mission isn’t over yet, and there’s still much to be done. But this is where I got to roll up my sleeves and go to work. It was a blast (space joke, boom still got it). Have love, will travel. #nasa #NASAintern #journeytomars by nasalanyard
